FOOD AND WINE TOUR

Even for food and wine tours are spoiled for choice.

In Italy not only Tuscany Region is a wine region. The regions of Northern Italy are very famous for their vineyards and wine and food tours. Even for these tours you might opt for the chauffeur service, in order to make it easy, nice and relaxing.

To facilitate your vision I split the tours by regions, and you can also find the reference link.

LOMBARDY REGION

Lombardy ( Lombardia ) is a fascinating region to visit, reserve big surprises and natural beauty, especially in the many protected areas scattered throughout its territory. Just think of the river parks, such as the Valle del Ticino Lombardo Park or simply strolling along the trails of the mountains of Lombardy can be observed free ibex, red deer, roe deer, chamois.

An important aspect is the food and wine. Each village in Lombardy has developed, over time, traditional dishes, especially related to rural life and the fruit of the fields. The thing that I recommend is to choose among the hundreds of features, hidden farmsteads between the villages, where the culinary art is certainly the main denominator. Farms that take us back in time, tasting the dishes, as it was once. Lombardy hides small but amazing country with stories to tell, through his art, and his masterpieces, its provinces and its beautiful medieval villages. The feeling is to go back in time, where everything seems to have stopped decades ago.

Pavesi hills

Oltre Pò Pavese is one of the three areas of the province of Pavia. A rich historical, artistic and cultural heritage especially with the evocative medieval villages, towers and castles. Among the vineyards of these hills they are produced wines with famous names and undisputed value such as Barbera and Pinot Noir.

Pavia

Pavia is a city with its own charm. The historic center is animated especially by many young people who come to this beautiful city to study, being a university city Pavia.

Just 8km from the center you can admire the Certosa di Pavia, building built by Gian Galeazzo Visconti, who began work in 1396, setting himself the first stone of the shipyard. The Certosa di Pavia is a historical monument which includes a monastery and a shrine. Go visit him it is absolutely worth it.

Bergamo hills

The Bergamo hills ( colline bergamasche ) are very fascinating in summer and winter. Winter tourism is very important for these hills, infact in recent decades they have developed many ski resorts including:

Val Brembana, Val Seriana and Valle Camonica.

Those village are the favorite destinations for people from Milan and Bergamo being only one hour away from their respective cities.

PIEDMONT REGION

Travel through Piemonte  is like stepping into a world of harmony and nature, along roads and hilly paths in the whole region. Land capable of giving a delicious treat, suspended between the nobility of castles (castelli) and vineyards, villages, charming towns, large gourmet restaurants and small country inns where the culinary tradition is the secret of success.

Piemonte has a unique and impressive landscapes of pure beauty, dreamlike atmospheres that are colored differently with the rhythm of the seasons, aromas, foods, wines, all this is the Piedmont.

Piemonte is also a land of great wines:

Nebbiolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto, Moscato, Barbera, Barolo.

Immerse yourself in a tour in the Piedmont vineyards (tour tra le vigne)  is an opportunity not to be missed.

Without forgetting the traditional Truffle of Alba.

The Truffle and wine lovers can explore itineraries on the hills of Piedmont, visiting wineries and festivals Truffle.
